The Chair introduces itself
Innovations in water technology by research and development are often initiated and driven primarily by legal requirements, energy changes and energy consumption, infrastructure adjustments and climate change as well as by the idea of sustainability in the field of environmental protection and resource protection. For the ...
Profile of the Chair of Hydro Process Engineering
... industrial sector in water management this is usually linked to the resulting cost pressure for the companies. In times of increasing protection of resources, recovery of reusable materials and reuse and recycling of water in industrial production processes, the development and optimization of innovative processes in industrial and academic research is becoming of even greater importance.
The Chair of Hydro Process Engineering is facing these challenges and will focus on the following areas within its research work that will become particularly important in future projects:
- Membrane processes in water and waste water treatment
- Simulation of treatment processes, especially by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD),
- (Industrial) water management in the context of Integrated Water and Resource Management (IWRM).
