Supervisors
The interdisciplinary group of primary supervisors in the RTG AirMetro consists of a total of 10 individuals, whose allocation to the thematic areas within the RTG is illustrated in the following diagram:

Fricke (Spokesperson): Focuses on safe flight operations, expertise in planning process optimization under uncertainties. Works on networks, urban planning, and has leadership competence.

Gerike: Specializes in mobility behavior, digital surveys, and traffic planning. Integrates approaches in Agent-Based Modeling and Simulation (ABMS) using MATSim.

Eltner: Researches intelligent geosensor networks for environmental monitoring. Analyzes 2D to 4D data using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Applies data assimilation for environmental process descriptions.

Maas: Expert in extracting reliable 3D information from image data. Develops image analysis methods for automating measurement tasks and statistical optimization.

Fitzek: Focuses on robotics and wireless communication in cyber-physical systems with real-time requirements. Accesses various testbeds with mobile robots.

Keßler: Specializes in conventional rotary-wing aircraft design and electrically powered drone flight behavior. Utilizes the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Versatile Aeromechanic Simulation Tool, VAST.

Kaliske: Expertise in numerical structural mechanics and modeling of solid structures. Develops digital representations for smart grid approaches under uncertainties.

Rosenow: Researches flight weather and its disturbances. Specializes in radiation and energy transfer models, as well as impact research for aviation.

Hirte: Evaluates external effects using economic theory and simulation of numerical economic models.

Assmann: Works on self-adaptive software systems and software architectures for cyber-physical systems and collaborative robots (Cobots). Emphasizes Human-in-the-Loop interactions.
