First Semester Welcome 2026

Welcome to the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences!

First semester week

First semester students will get an insight into student life in Dresden and get to know the faculty in a variety of events from October 5-10, 2026. The multi-day programme is organized by the Student Council for Transport Sciences (FSR Verkehr).

First semester welcome

As part of the faculty's own welcome event, the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences will officially open the new academic year and warmly welcome the first semester students to the faculty.

The first semester introduction will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gerhart-Potthoff-Bau, lecture hall POT 81 (entrance Fritz-Foerster-Platz) of the Technische Universität Dresden.

Following the welcome address, the deans of studies and the academic program coordinators will introduce the students to the course:

•     M.Sc. Transportation Economics in POT 151
•     M.Sc. Railway System Engineering in POT 112
•    M.Sc. Air Transport and Logistics in POT 251
