Simulation programs in research and education

Since the new appointment of the chair of Electric Railways there is a new direction in research topics as well as in the field of software technology. Besides the various use of the numerous calculation program MATLAB there were acquired 5 licences of the in industry and research widespread railway operation simulator OpenTrack and the electric grid calculation program OpenPowerNet. This acquirement had the purpose to support present and future research topics within study and diplom papers as well as dissertations. Both of these programs are used in the practical exercises of the course simulation systems.
