Public Transport Innovator 2019

Winners of Public Transport Innovator 2019 (f.l.t.r.: D. Dulat, N. Basedow, Prof. R. König, M. Herrmann, J. Steinbicker, N. Krebs)
As in the previous years professor König launched the competition "Public Transport Innovator" amongst the students of rail traffic and public transport.
The students outlined numerous future-oriented projects which leverage improvements in rail traffic and public transport.
On 30 April 2019 the three best ideas were presented and honoured:
1st place: Mr. Dias Dulat
Topic: Infrastructure project for the Moscow suburban railway
2nd place: Mr. Jannis Steinbicker
Topic: A continous city-rail line between Essen and Duisburg
3rd place: Mr. Nicolas Krebs
Topic: Concept for a future-oriented public transport
In addition two special prizes were awarded:
- Special price "regional transport": Mr. Markus Herrmann
Topic: Innovations in public transport in the region - Special price "logistics": Mr. Nils Basedow
Topic: Innovation for the last mile
The ideas were awarded with small but special non-cash prizes.
