Tabish Haque's research interest lies in the use of Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence to contribute to sustainable transportation systems. His primary area of expertise is on disruption management in urban metro and rail systems. In addition, he is interested in evaluating and enhancing the necessary operational and infrastructure modifications for resilience in transportation systems.

Ashkan Fouladi completed his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering at the University of Tehran in 2020. His research interest is in using Operational Research and Artificial Intelligence in the field of Transportation. His academic background is rooted in transportation systems, with particular interests in traffic flow optimization, reinforcement learning applications in transportation, and the integration of innovative technologies to enhance urban transport networks. Currently, he is working as a research associate at the Chair of Rail Operations.

Bing joined the team as a PostDoc researcher under the supervision of Prof. Nikola Bešinović. She will contribute to the project “MultiModX - Integrated Passenger-Centric Planning of Multimodal Transport Networks” during her stay at TUD. Her research will focus on the integration of railway and airline scheduling.
The topic of her PhD thesis at Tongji University is “Coordination of Public Transport and Ride-hailing Services”, which focuses on the modelling of integrated public transport and ride-hailing systems and the collaborative design of public transport frequencies and ride-hailing subsidies.

Sebastian joined the chair as a PhD student under supervision of Nikola Bešinovič. As part of the REINFORCERAIL Project he will investigate the application of Artificial Intelligence in railway traffic rescheduling. In Particular, his research will contribute to the development of a new intelligent Traffic Management System enabling future automated train rescheduling in case of disruptions.
Sebastian is a transport economist with a special research interest in data-driven analytics and modelling in the field of railway operations. In his master thesis, he conducted a comparative analysis of travel choice modelling using novel Machine Learning tools and traditional econometric approaches.

Uwe Höppner studied industrial engineering at the TU Dresden with a specialization in traffic science. After completing his studies, he worked in logistics consulting at DB Cargo AG from 2005, dealing with the development of multimodal transport solutions and customer-specific rail-based logistics concepts. He was able to maintain contact with university research through numerous innovation projects. In 2020 he returned to the TU Dresden, where he took over the management of the research group of Rail Freight & Logistics in 2022. He is a long-standing member of the German Logistics Association (BVL) and the German Society for Project Management (GPM) and holds a project management certification from the IPMA.

Dr.-Ing. Beate Lux studied traffic engineering at the TU Dresden. Initially, she worked in aircraft construction and in the project management of railroad infrastructure projects. In 2002, she returned to TU Dresden and has been researching and teaching in the field of public transport operations. Since 2020, she is responsible for the railroad operations laboratory.

Julio Alberto López Gómez has a PhD in advanced information technologies and he is currently associate professor at the department of Information Systems and Technologies in the University of Castilla La Mancha (UCLM) in Spain, concretely in the Escuela de Ingeniería Minera e Industrial de Almadén (EIMIA), where he teaches computer science and building communication systems. He is also computer engineering graduated by University of Castilla La Mancha and he completed the data science and computer engineering master with mention in data science and intelligent techniques in University of Granada (Spain). His research interests are artificial intelligence, machine learning, metaheuristics algorithms, fuzzy logic and railway transport systems.
