All platforms are now equipped with departure displays

Modern departure displays based on ePaper have also recently been installed on the last platforms in Feldberg and Waldhof. This means that all platforms in the lab are now fully equipped. One exception is the Papiermühle stop. This will be equipped with a central departure monitor which, as with almost all current railroads, displays departures as an HTML page.

These displays serve to illustrate why tracks cannot be changed at will and why track changes must be reported to the dispatcher with a lead time. Since the end of the winter semester 2024/25, delays have also been displayed to show that trains arriving earlier must also wait until the indicated delayed departure time instead of simply departing.

The displays are controlled by a proprietary train management system and can be changed via the dispatching system.
