Courses

To organise the courses we use OPAL. For this purpose, it is necessary to register in the corresponding OPAL course (linked below). The materials for the courses (lecture notes, exercise sheets, ...) also are published in OPAL; in addition, the organisation of dates for laboratory practicals takes place there.

Fundamental Courses in Basic Study Programs:

• Transportation Engineering OPAL
• Railway System Engineering OPAL
• Civil Engineering OPAL

Advanced Courses in Main Study Programs:

• Transportation Engineering:
  field of study: railway systems, field of study: transportation planning and traffic engineering, field of study: traffic systems engineering and logistics
• Railway Systems Engineering:
  field of study: railway infrastructure and railway construction
• Civil engineering:
   field of study: city and transport planning and road and railway construction

Additional Courses in other Study Programs:

• Industrial Engineering  OPAL
• Transportation economics OPAL

Normally lectures are supported by exercises, practical courses and special seminars. Chair of Planning and Design of Railway Infrastructure is responsible for exhibition of permanent way at open space between Gerhart-Potthoff-Building and Nuernberger Strasse (as part of IEL).
