Guest Researcher Prof. Zhang, USF, Tampa @ IFL
Dr. Yu Zhang , Professor for Civil and Environmental Engineering & Director, Advanced Air Mobility Research/CUTR, University of South Florida, University of California Berkeley, Fulbright KAIST visited IFL and the DFG RTG AirMetro Team on June 23/24. We enjoyed vital discussions on system optimization and developed a strategy for collaboration in the field of Urban Air Mobility Integration. She said:
„Many thanks to Prof. Hartmut Fricke for the invitation to visit TU Dresden in Germany.
During my three-day stay, I had the pleasure of presenting our Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) research at USF and meeting with students and researchers involved in the AeroMetro project led by Prof. Fricke. The "Aerometro" project at TU Dresden, a.k.a the RTG AirMetro (RTG 2947), is a massive, long-term initiative launched to lay the scientific and operational foundation for AAM—which includes electric flying taxis, automated drones, and urban freight transport.
I was impressed by the team’s collaborative spirit, strong research culture, and cutting-edge projects. I look forward to continuing the collaboration with Prof. Fricke and conducting impactful research in the AAM field.”
