Tushar Jayesh Barot is a research associate at the Institute of Logistics and Aviation at TU Dresden since 2024. He is pursuing his Ph.D. as part of the AirMetro RTG 2947, working on project T5: on-board autonomous navigation for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). His current focus is on the SLAM problem using vision and inertial-based approaches for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). He has experience working with radio-based localization, sensor fusion, machine learning, 3D computer vision, and embedded systems.
