Content of the Course
In this course, the properties of air, lift and its generation as well as the associated air forces and air force moments are of central interest. Furthermore, the influence of the wind, the aerofoil and airfoil geometry, the establishment of the moment equilibrium as well as the load, the trimability and the required aircraft control are discussed.
Upon completion of this course, you will be familiar with the methods and applications that describe the motion of aircraft with 6 degrees of freedom with the associated forces and moments, powers and energy expenditures. You will also understand the origin and influence of air forces/moments on the aircraft.
