| intention of the lecture | The lecture introduces reliability theory as an important basic concept of the configuration, evaluation and maintenance of safety-relevant systems. Besides the reliability metrics several models are presented enabling the analysis of reliability structures of systems. The metrics and models are explained using real-world reliability problems. |
