Introduction

The Institute of Transport and Economics (ITE) was founded as part of the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences at the TU Dresden in 1992.

The ITE is specializing in mainly quantitative research related to economics and business issues in transportation.

Since 2009 the institute is located at the office building "Falkenbrunnen", Würzburger Straße 35.

Chairs

The chairs at the Institute of Transport and Economics are focus on the fields of transport policy and spatial economics, transport management and logistics, information and communication business management & economics as well as econometrics and statistics in transport economics in research and teaching.

PC-Pool

The PC-Pool at the institute provides 31 workstations and is equipped with software like MS Office 2013 Prof.-Edition, MS Visual Studio 2013, CodeBlocks, GAMS with Solver CPLEX & PATH, STATA 15, QGIS and R.

Brown Bag Seminar

In the Brown Bag Seminar guests and employees of the institute periodically present current research projects and results. The presentations are open to students, staff and external participants.
