Delegation of the SVTCC visiting the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences at TU Dresden
On 13.11.2018 a delegation of the Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Communications from Chengdu visited us. The university professors from China were warmly welcomed by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Prof. Jörn Schönberger and Prof. Ulrike Stopka, Head of the Chair of Information and Communication Business Management & Economics. The purpose of the visit was to get to know each other's educational profiles and study programmes, to explore possibilities for student exchanges, to organise reciprocal visits of scientists, experts and teachers in order to exchange experiences in the teaching and study processes of both institutions as well as to carry out further training measures for teachers of the SVTCC Chengdu. In addition, approaches to a potential cooperation in selected research areas were discussed. To document the cooperation possibilities in these areas, both sides signed a letter of intent.
Alongside the professional exchange on didactic teaching approaches, the guests were given the opportunity to visit selected laboratories of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences such as the Railway Operation Laboratory, the Safety Engineering Laboratory or the Control Centre Laboratory for Traffic Management.
The SVTCC university currently has 13,000 students enrolled and offers a very wide range of courses in addition to courses in the communications sector.
