The Chair introduces itself
The Chair is part of the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences and the Faculty of Business and Economics (second membership). It is affiliated to the Institute of Transport and Economics. For the economic courses of study, the special field "Communication Economics" is being offered as special Business Management.
What does Information and Communication Business Management & Economics mean?
Based on the market models of the Internet economy as well as the special features of network industries, information and communication service companies are just as much a part of this subject as their behaviour in the ICT markets (positioning strategies, strategic marketing, cooperation and merger strategies, etc.). The competitive strategies are discussed in particular with regard to supply and demand structure, price formation mechanisms, competition intensity as well as liberalization and regulatory processes in the context of the regulatory framework. The subject is particularly suitable for business informatics specialists, industrial engineers, business economists and political economists who wish to specialise in the design of business processes in the production, marketing and application of information and communication services and systems. The graduates are typically employed in management positions in ICT companies, companies in the telecommunications industry, IT departments of large industrial and service companies or in consulting firms.
