Survey about weather index insurance adoption

In the month of June, our chair member Ms. Jing Zou conducted a pilot survey about weather index insurance adoption in rural areas in Hubei Province, China.

Building on the insights gained from the pilot survey, in the subsequent month of July, a formal survey including our questionnaire was distributed among about 1300 small farmer households in Henan, Hubei, and Hunan Provinces. The endeavor was marked by invaluable support from the distinguished Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) situated in Wuhan, China. At this juncture, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Prof. Xiong Hang of the Macro Agriculture Research Institute (MARI) at HZAU, as well as to all the diligent students who played a crucial role in the successful execution of the survey.
