The chair
The Chair of Economics, esp. Transport Policy and Spatial Economics is part of the Institute for Transport and Economics of "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. Additionally, we cooperate with the Faculty of Business and Economics and supply courses for its students.
Spatial Economics
We look at problems of regional economics that are for instance dealing with location decisions or regional development. Besides, we deal with the effect of climate policy on cities as well as migration and household decisions.
Transport Policy
In the field of transport policy we cover issues concerning infrastructure, regulation, pricing as well as cost-benefit analysis.
