Dear students,
here you will find the Learning-Teaching-Agreement that has been introduced at the faculty.
Preamble
Everyone is welcome at our faculty. Life and cooperation in our faculty are based on respect, tolerance, and equal rights for all people, regardless of ethnic origin, gender, sexual identity, religion, ideology, physical or mental detriment, or age (see Art. 1, German constitution).
All persons involved in teaching and learning at the faculty are expected to adhere to the Learning-Teaching-Agreement within the scope of their abilities. The different roles and interests of the actors as well as the hierarchical structure of universities must be taken into account

Communication |
Students and teachers work together in order to ensure academic success. Students and teachers treat each other and among themselves respectfully and communicate proactively, in one-on-one and in written conversation. Students and teachers communicate their expectations for each other and among themselves clearly and openly in order to secure a constructive collaboration. Students and teachers swiftly and effectively answer to written inquiries. They use the TUD-accounts for correspondence at all times. |
Attendance |
Students and teachers handle each other’s time with respect. Students and teachers always arrive on time and prepared for each class and consultations. Tutorials, practical classes, and seminars in particular rely on active participation and should be attended conscientiously. |
Participation |
Teachers offer teaching concepts that provides active learning opportunities and motivates students to actively participate. Teachers clearly express their expectations for students’ participation in class, their preparatory as well as their follow-up work. Students will not disrupt classes. |
Self-Responsibility |
Students and lecturers are aware of their roles:

Assessment |
Teachers assess transparently. They disclose their assessment criteria in a comprehensible manner and respond to further inquiry. Teachers will let their students know if they exceed the regular correction period of four weeks. Students take the realities of teachers’ lives into account. |
Teaching Evaluation |
The quality of teaching is of particular interest to the faculty.

Copyright and Good Scientific Practice |
Students and teachers respect the copyright of teaching materials and student works. The guidelines of Good Scientific Practice are observed. Personal rights are respected. |
