As every semester, there will be some updates to our degree programs in Transport Sciences for the summer semester 2026: some modules will be updated, some courses are completely new.

All changes from April 2026 are listed below.

• VW-VWI-PF01 Linear Algebra in the Context of Business Administration and Economics
  The Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Mathematics is responsible for the module.
• VW-VWI-PF02 Analysis in the context of Business Administration and Economics
  The Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Mathematics is responsible for this module.
• VW-VWI-VIW10 Data Analysis and Processing in Transportation [NEW]
  The module is new.
  It can be taken as a compulsory elective module in the summer semester.
• VW-VWI-VIW11a Transportation Systems Theory and Modeling
  The new module supervisor is Dr. Jens Opitz.
• VW-VWI-VIW12a Mobility System Planning and Traffic Psychology (ex. VW-VWI-VIW12)
  The qualification objectives and content have been updated and expanded to include traffic psychology.
  The teaching and learning format has been adapted: 4 SWS lecture, 1 SWS exercise.
  The new examination is a written examination lasting 150 minutes.
• VW-VWI-BWL32a Business decision theory (ex. VW-VWI-BWL32)
  New teaching language is English.
• VW-VWI-BWL41a Entrepreneurial Action (ex. VW-VWI-BWL41)
  Qualification objectives and content have been updated.
  New teaching form is: 2 SWS lecture, 3 SWS seminar
  The module is now limited to 130 participants.
  The new form of examination is a term paper of 100 hours.
  The module is worth 10 CP.
• VW-VWI-VWL55 Introduction to Environmental Economics
  The module can no longer be offered.
• VW-VWI-VWL58a Implications of Demographic Development (ex. VW-VWI-VWL58)
  Qualification objectives and content have been updated.
• VW-VWI-VWL62 International Trade: Theory and Policy [NEW]
  The module is new.
  It can be taken as a compulsory elective module in the summer semester.
• VW-VWI-WIF75 Information Management and E-Government [NEW]
  The module will be newly established.
  It can be taken as a compulsory elective module in the summer semester.

  New teaching format is: 2 SWS lecture, 2 SWS exercise
  The module is now 5 LP.
• VW-VI-1715 Applied Robotics for Cooperative and Autonomous Mobility
  The module is newly established.
  It can be taken as a compulsory elective module in the summer semester.
• Field of study Telematics: Change in the course of study
  VW-VI-1712 Technology Assessment and VW-VI-1714 Fundamentals of Independent Engineering Work in the field of Transport Telematics are in the compulsory elective area of the degree course in the 2025 regulations.
