Kick-off for Interreg project Transport in the Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland National Park

The Transport in Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland National Park project in the "Interreg Saxony-Czech Republic 2021-2027" funding line aims to make transport connections to the national parks on both sides of the border more efficient, customer-friendly and environmentally friendly. Following the start of the project at the end of 2024, the project kick-off took place on 29.01.2025 at Děčín Castle (Zámek Děčín). The Faculty's project team is led by the Chair of Railway Operations, and the Chair of Traffic Process Automation is also involved. The project is funded with a total of EUR 1,169,987.04 in ERDF funds.
The aim of ITVS's work in the overall project is automated data collection using information technology and the design of digital solutions, e.g. smart public transport stops.
Other project partners are ČVUT Prague, ČR Správa Národního parku České Švýcarsko and Regionalverkehr Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge GmbH.
