Chair of Transport Systems Information Technology

The Chair of Information Technology for Traffic Systems of the Faculty of Traffic Sciences "Friedrich List" of TU Dresden is concerned with teaching and research with traffic information systems. They form the technical basis for traffic telematics services and serve the information networking of the structural components track, vehicle and driving operation.

The subject area "Information Technology for Traffic Systems" has a very interdisciplinary character, which is particularly reflected in the following aspects:

• Optimization of traffic-steered systems and processes by the use of networked communication and positioning technologies,
• Researches and analyzes on the technical basis for the informational networking of the structural components track, vehicle and driving operation,
• Investigations on interactions between technical systems with the aim of increasing the system functionality of transport telematics applications.
