The “Financial Analysis Report” goes into the next round

Dear students

We are happy to announce that once again the Chair of Management Accounting and Control is offering the project work "Financial Analyst Report" this year.
Therefore, we would like to draw your attention to this opportunity for a comprehensive practical application of the knowledge you have acquired in our various master courses. Also, this project thesis offers a good opportunity for improving teamwork and practical soft skills. If necessary, this project work can also be completed without physical attendance.

You will be given the task of comprehensively analyzing a given listed company in the context of a project thesis. Central problems here are the assessment of the current economic situation of the company, the estimation of its future development, and the determination of the company value. The information required for the analysis will mainly be taken from the publications of the respective companies, such as annual reports, press releases, etc. To prepare the analysis, students will work in randomly composed teams of about five people. The results will then be presented and discussed together.

Previous or accompanying attendance of the courses “Business Valuation and Value Based Management”, “Financial Statement Analysis”, and “Strategic Management and Control” is recommended, but not mandatory. By working on the project work you can acquire a module of 10 credit points according to the module handbook within the framework of the PO.
