Associates present their research at the Swiss Accounting Research Alpine Camp
Two of our associates, Stephan Fuhrmann and Michael Grassmann, traveled to Switzerland to participate and present their latest research about integrated reporting at the Swiss Accounting Research Alpine Camp (SARAC) from February 14 - 15, 2018.
The SARAC-Confenrence was held for the first time this year. The conference was organized by the HEC Lausanne and the University of St. Gallen under the supervision of Prof. Tami Dinh and Prof. Minyu Dong. The conference aims to connect experienced researchers, post-docs, and Ph.D. students of the field of accounting for scientific exchange. Therefore, the Swiss village Champéry, close to the Alps, was the designated location for this event. The participants came from all over the world, for example, researches from China, Australia, and the US traveled to Switzerland.
After two highly inspiring keynotes by Prof. Scott Liao (University of Toronto) and Prof. Terri L. Yohn (University of Indiana), the afternoon consisted of speakers sessions. In this context, our associates had the chance to present their research and received valuable feedback.
In the evening, the participants came together at dinner which gave them the opportunity to further engage in discussion. The informal highlight of the event was a trip with a gondola on top of the mountain Dents du Midi, followed by a hike through the snow covered landscape.
At this point, we would gracefully thank for the great organization of this conference.
Further, we would like to especially thank the Graduate college from TU Dresden which supported our journey with the Travel Award.
