WRITING A MASTER'S OR DIPLOMA THESIS AT THE CHAIR OF INNOVATION- AND TECHNOLOGYMAN­AGEMENT

• You can choose one of the Chair's topics or work with us on your interdisciplinary research project from your own department.
• We also welcome cooperation with practice partners.
• We recommend that you attend the semesterly research seminar at the Chair of Innovation- and Technologymanagement, where you will receive technical and organizational advice on how to work on your thesis.
• Qualitative and quantitative orientation are possible depending on the topic and the choice of methods and will be clarified in discussion with the Chair.

• Innovation management, in particular the involvement of employees in innovation and the role of current digital technologies
• Entrepreneurship and startup-based research
• Business models for data trusts and the study of trust as a key player
• AI-based methods for the proprietary filing and exploitation of patents
• Advanced frugal innovation
• Development of the start-up and transfer system of Indian universities compared to Europe and the USA
• Opportunities and limitations of AI in the development of business models
• Financing of DeepTech start-ups,
• Patent and publication strategies for scientists
• New concepts of entrepreneurship education for deep tech startups
• Recent development of digital entrepreneurship
• Recent developments and methods of digital innovation management

• After reviewing your documents, we will invite you to an initial meeting to get to know each other and discuss any further questions.

Submission guidelines:

• The thesis must be submitted as follows:

  • 2-3 book-binded printed copies and

  • a digital version (to the supervising chair and the student examination office)

  • each including the declaration of independent work.

• A defense or colloquium is not required,
  unless this is expressly required by a collaborating chair that supervises the student. In this case, we are of course prepared to do so.

• The thesis can be written in either German or English.
