RESEARCH SEMINAR FOR MASTER AND DIPLOMA STUDENTS
Would you like to write your master's or diploma thesis in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology management? In preparation for writing a thesis, we offer you our research seminar.
The research seminar of the Chair of Innovation- and Technologymanagement gives students the opportunity to deepen their scientific work with a special focus on current research questions in a two-hour event every second Tuesday in the winter semester 2025/2026, starting October 14, 2025, from 2:50 to 4:20 pm. These include the financing of DeepTech start-ups, business models for data trusts, patent and publication strategies for scientists and new concepts of entrepreneurship education for DeepTech start-ups. In addition, we are open to your suggestions that fit the denomination of the chair.
The research seminar will focus on the following topics
- Presentation and application of suitable qualitative and quantitative methods using the example of selected research from the Chair's subject areas
- Presentation of the students' exposés with subsequent discussion
- Further development of the research papers with a final written paper.
Students can earn 10 credit points (CP) for the 2 semester hours per week (SWS) course due to the associated self-study and the preparation and defense of a research exposé.
No special modules or courses need to be taken in advance in order to participate in our research seminar.
To participate, please register with Franziska Greim: franziska.greim@tu-dresden.de by e-mail with a brief description of your research topic and motivation by September 30, 2025. In preparation for this, we offer virtual consultation hours, for which you can also register with Ms. Greim.
Impressions from the research seminar:
The research seminar offers our participants the opportunity to experience academic work at first hand. A group photo and a field report show how lively research can be.
Research Seminar Summer Term 2025
Christian Heim - Participant in the research seminar in the summer term 2025
"I particularly liked the flexibility in the choice of topics and the openness to cooperation. This allowed me to focus on the topics that interested me the most in the seminar. At the same time, the seminar gave me the methodological tools to be able to work on these topics scientifically."
— Christian Heim, participant in the research seminar, summer semester 2025
