Student workshop: Genial kombiniert – Optimierung entdecken!

Every year at St. Benno Gymnasium, the so-called student work weeks take place in the last weeks before Christmas. During this time, external lecturers offer various workshops for pupils to choose according to their interests.
Our colleagues Paul Päprer and Florian Linß have already held student workshops on mathematical optimization several times. The workshop aims to make mathematical optimization, an exciting specialist area of business administration, understandable and tangible.
Through short theory lectures and various stations for practical experimentation, the students get an impression of where they already come into contact with optimization problems in their everyday lives and how quickly such problems can become more complex.
We are pleased that we were able to show interested students how diverse and practical a degree in business and economics can be.
