VIPES project conclusion in Vienna

Last week, we (Paul Päprer, Martin Scheffler, Janis Neufeld and Udo Buscher) met in Vienna with our partners from the University of Vienna, TU Vienna, dwh GmbH and ÖBB-Produktion Gesellschaft mbH to conclude the VIPES project.

In particular, we presented and discussed various approaches to the integrated planning of rotations and shifts in railroad systems and how to react to short-term disruptions in shift planning.
The third day was primarily used to plan the last remaining tasks. In addition to the preparation of further publications, it was also explored how the successful joint work could be continued after the end of the project.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues in Vienna once again for organizing the workshop, including the fantastic guided tour of the city.
