The lecture "Simulation and Modeling" teaches students the basics of modeling and conducting simulation studies. Special emphasis is placed on discrete-event simulation and its advantages and disadvantages, especially compared to analytical methods. Participants will be able to model queueing systems using appropriate software and analyze them using simulation software. In the course of the computer exercise, students will create their own model using the simulation software AnyLogic. Some parts of the lecture will be offered as e-lectures for self-study. |
