On appointment
- It is not necessary to give any further information in your e-mail. The application form and the transcript of records are sufficient to make a selection decision.
- The Chair decides within two weeks about the selection and allocation of the applicants. The selected students will be informed by e-mail about their selection and the assigned supervisor. Therefore, please check your e-mail account regularly.
- After receiving the notification, the contacted students must report within one week to the supervisor and confirm the subject. Otherwise the issue will be released again. If in the meantime a supervisory relationship with another chair has come up, this has to be promptly communicated to the supervisors to allow subcontracting of topics to other applicants.
- After the first round of applications, further applications can be submitted directly to the responsible supervisor for still available topics. The available topics can be viewed here. There you can also find the topics which were returned by the students.
- Once the required credits for authoring a bachelor thesis have been achieved, the student is committed to collect the appropriate application form for the bachelor thesis at the examination office and submit it to the supervisor to fix the supervisory relationship in writing. From this point, the four-month processing time begins.
- The earliest possible registration date is 01.04. The latest start is 30.04. If topics remain available after the regular review period, students can apply even after the expiry of the time limit. The processing of the thesis can be started as soon as the necessary credits are available.
- Candidates with no assigned subject on 01.04.2016 may apply for the allocation of topics at the examination board. They can suggest a free theme from the lists and / or specify the desired major or minor field. Although the Audit Committee strives to take into account the respective preferences of the student, there is no guarantee.
- When there are valid reasons (e.g. illness) an extension of the deadline by a maximum of one month may be granted upon written application by the Audit Committee.
- The submission of the thesis takes place at the examination office. There must be submitted two bound copies together with the signed independence declaration and the assignment of the right to use. The entire work (in .doc (x) format and including the appendix) as well as the electronic sources have to be delivered electronically (via Cloud or USB-Stick).
