Dr. Andreas Leibing receives Postdoc Starter Kit from the Graduate Academy
Dr. Andreas Leibing (Chair of Quantitative Methods, esp. Econometrics) receives a Postdoc Starter Kit from the Graduate Academy to support his research projects. For the period 01/2025 to 06/2026, he has €10,000 at his disposal, which will be used for the recruitment of Student Assistants, conference travel and the purchase of data, among other things.
The Postdoc Starter Kit funding program aims to support outstanding early-career researchers with a doctorate in developing and sharpening their scientific profile and to qualify them for further scientific career paths.
Dr. Andreas Leibing has been working as a postdoc at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Kamila Cygan-Rehm since July 2024 and conducts research as an applied microeconomist on issues of labor and education economics. His research focuses on post-school education and examines factors for successful studies, but above all also for the transition from secondary school to vocational training or university studies and the transition to the labor market. Andreas Leibing's research is quantitatively empirical. He uses empirical methods and large-scale survey data to gain insights for society.
