Easy Business™ at school: cooperation project to promote entrepreneurial education at Dresden-Tolkewitz secondary school
On December 16/17, 2025, Bachelor's students of Business Education and Management Training (WiPäd) taught the 8th grade in the "Entrepreneurship" profile lesson at the Dresden-Tolkewitz secondary school as part of the "Business Education and Management Training in Practice" seminar. The cooperation project to design the "Entrepreneurship" profile lesson was initiated in 2022 at the Chair of Business Education and Management Training (Prof. Dr. Bärbel Fürstenau, Dr. Ianina Scheuch) and takes place regularly as a successful example of cooperation between school and university at the Dresden-Tolkewitz secondary school (Dr. Ulrike Böhm, Maximilian Bauch).
The Easy Business™ business simulation game was used in class. The students slipped into the role of entrepreneurs at ShokoDream GmbH and learned about the value creation process of a production company. In doing so, they dealt with key business terms such as profit and loss account, balance sheet and depreciation. For the students, the project offered the opportunity to plan lessons independently, implement them didactically and reflect on them. At the same time, the students were able to experience economic knowledge in a playful and practical way.
The use of innovative teaching methods in general education schools has been evaluated and scientifically monitored by the Chair of Business Education and Management Training for over ten years. The Faculty of Business and Economics at TU Dresden thus also supports grammar schools in implementing the school-specific "Entrepreneurial Education" profile, which has been available since this school year. At the same time, the faculty is making a contribution to early study orientation.
