EE2 bei der International Conference on Operations Research 2026 in Passau
Prof. Dr. Dominik Möst mit weiteren Mitgliedern des GOR-Gremiums
The International Conference on Operations Research (OR 2026) took place from September 1st to 4th, 2026 in Passau, Germany. The conference was organized by the German Operations Research Society (GOR). The Chair of Energy Economics participated in several sessions within the conference track "Energy and Sustainability".
Akshay Singh Yadav presented his research entitled “Generation and Transmission Expansion under Aspects of Cooperation: Insights from Offshore Wind Integration in Baltic Region.” The presentation examined how cooperation can influence the planning of the expansion of generation and transmission capacities, with a particular focus on the integration of offshore wind energy in the Baltic region.
A second contribution was made by Hannes Hobbie with his presentation “RFNBO Meets §13k: The Hidden Trade-off in Green Hydrogen Policy and its Effect on Offshore Wind Integration.” The presentation discussed the interactions between regulatory requirements for green hydrogen and the integration of offshore wind energy, highlighting potential conflicts of interest arising from current policy frameworks.
Furthermore, Prof. Dominik Möst led the session “Energy and Sustainability: Energy investments, peak power & storage”. Participation in OR 2026 offered valuable opportunities for scientific exchange with the international operations research community and provided a forum to discuss current research at the interface of energy economics, optimization, infrastructure planning and energy policy.
