JSIS article published in collaboration with Julia Kotlarsky (Distinguished Research Fellow)
In close collaboration with Julia Kotlarsky (University of Auckland, New Zealand), Susanne Strahringer and Martin Wiener recently published an article in the Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS). In this article, they present the results of a critical review of existing information systems (IS) research on digital transformation processes (at the organizational level), with a particular focus on the use of different process theorizing styles and the consideration of temporal aspects. Based on the review results, the authors uncover a network of nine interrelated (sub-)processes and propose a set of six future research directions for 'stronger' process theorizing.
