Medal successes for TUD athletes at the 2025 World University Games
The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games ended on Sunday. Two students from TUD Dresden University of Technology (TUD) took part in the games - both with great success. The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games took place from July 16 to 27, 2025 in several cities in the Ruhr area and in Berlin and are the most important event in international student sports.

Track and field athlete Vivienne Morgenstern won the gold medal in the 4 x 400-meter relay.
Vivienne Morgenstern was one of the highlights of the games. The track and field athlete, who is studying Business Administration and Economics, won the 4 × 400 m relay ahead of Poland and Canada. A few days earlier, she had already won bronze in the 400-meter hurdles at the U23 European Championships in Bergen (Norway).

High diver Jette Müller, who studies media research and social sciences at the TUD, won the gold medal in the team with Moritz Wesemann, Paulina Pfeif and Jaden Eikermann from the 3 and 10-meter boards. She had previously won bronze from the 3-meter board with her synchronized partner Lena Hentschel.
