Visiting Tongji University in Shanghai
Prof. Dr. Udo Buscher (Chair of Business Administration, in particular Industrial Management) was recently a guest at Tongji University in Shanghai together with a delegation of German universities. The trip was supported by the DAAD and initiated by Prof. Dr. Axel Werwatz. The aim was to further strengthen academic exchange and discuss current research topics together.
As part of a workshop on supply chain management, Udo Buscher provided insights in his presentation "Analyzing a Green Hydrogen Supply Chain in the Steel Industry with a Bi-level Approach". In addition, Jan Harder, Deputy Director of the Chinese-German College (CDHK), gave exciting insights into new programs to intensify student and doctoral student exchanges between Germany and China.
The reunion with Alexander Blume, Research Associate at the Chair of Industrial Management, who is currently conducting research at Tongji University for three months, was also particularly enjoyable. Supported by a Tongji scholarship, he is working there together with Qiang Su on the analysis of Chinese cement supply chains.
A big thank you to Prof. Dr. Guanwei Huang for an excellently organized program, which offered many professional impulses as well as great cultural impressions: including a city tour, a visit to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, a trip on the Huangpu, the Oriental Pearl Tower and several dinners together.
Thanks also to all the hosts and partners for the warm welcome, the open exchange and the shared motivation to further expand the scientific bridge between Germany and China.
