- The Professor Hilbert Publication Award recognizes early-career researchers* at the Faculty who have succeeded in publishing outstanding journal publications in 2025. This award is intended to recognize the scientific activities of doctoral students, postdocs and Junior Professors and make them visible to the outside world.
- A maximum of three publications can be awarded. The prize money per publication is €500.
*Research Associates as well as external doctoral candidates can apply for the award. In the case of external doctoral students, it is crucial that TU Dresden is indicated as an affiliation on the publication. Please note that the publication prize can only be awarded once.
Application information I Documents to be submitted
- Eligible for the award are publications...
- that have been accepted for publication in a journal in the calendar year 2025 (no papers in conference proceedings)
- that are ranked at least B (according to VHB-JOURQUAL4 and Handelsblatt-Liste VWL). - Proposals for the publication prize can be submitted by the authors themselves. The proposal must be accompanied by
- the publication in PDF format,
- Curriculum vitae (with list of publications) of all authors who are early-career researchers at the Faculty,
- a brief explanation of why the submitted publication is worthy of an award. - The proposals must be sent to the Dean's Office by 31.03.2026 (by e-mail to: ).
- The publications to be awarded will be selected by a three-member committee in which professors from all faculty groups are represented. Legal recourse is excluded.
