With the writing counselling, we would like to support especially doctoral candidates in the early phase of writing their doctorate (articles, monographs etc.).

Important: This consultation does not replace the supervision by your doctoral supervisor. The focus of the joint work with Dr. Stark lies solely on the points described above.
Writing Lab of the Graduate Academy
The Writing Lab offers a wide range of services related to academic writing: individual counseling, short workshops, writing groups, writing weeks, and an annual writing retreat. In addition, workstations for distraction-free writing are available in the basement of the Graduate Academy.
Offers of the SLUB
The SLUB supports you in the topics of citation (e.g. citation guidelines, video clips on citation) and reference management.
You can also use the knowledge bar to obtain advice on the topics of scientific work, use of research databases and selection of suitable journals.
Statistical Advice
- The Center for Social Science Methods advises on methods of empirical social research.
- The Chair of Econometrics and Statistiks, esp. in the Transport Sector (Prof. Ostap Okhrin, Dr. Iryna Okhrin) can be contacted for statistical advice.
- The GESIS Leibnitz Institute for Social Sciences advises on empirical research work, from study planning, survey design and pretesting to data analysis and archiving.
- The Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Statistik provides information on statistical consulting in Germany and lists training centers, state offices and consulting institutions on the website.
