We plan the next GA Writing Retreat from 1. until 6. September 2024. Applications are possible from March 2024 onwards.
Doctoral candidates and postdocs who would like to take a break from the hectic daily university routine and to fully focus on the writing of their academic texts, are invited to participate.
Twenty doctoral or postdoctoral GA members will have the chance to attend this five-day event at the meeting center of the St. Marienthal monastery.
We offer advice on planning, developing, or optimizing your scientific manuscript, such as a dissertation, publication, or funding proposal.
We aim to provide you with the best possible support using various writing strategies and techniques, but this does not replace the expert discussion with your supervisor!
Advisory consultations are offered in English or German. In each consultation, you will meet with a writing coach from the Graduate Academy.
Please get in touch with us at least five days in advance to set up an appointment. This will give us time to prepare for our meeting. To set up an appointment, please use our GA contact form.
Here, you can find more information on our writing advisory service.
Please find more writing workshops in the GA qualification program. Please register for these workshops via Promovendus!
In winter semester 2024/2025, the Graduate Academy is again offering short workshops on academic writing in German and English. We kindly ask you to register for these workshops via Promovendus!
