Welcome to the Team: Nick Heidmann joins the Digital Health Research Group

Since September 15, we are delighted to welcome Nick Heidmann as a new research associate in the Digital Health Research Group. Nick has already been part of our team for more than three years: as a student assistant, he significantly supported the project Evaluation of the Digital Maturity of Public Health Offices (EvalDiGe) – contributing to the further development of the maturity model, co-authoring publications, and preparing as well as moderating workshops.

In his diploma thesis, Nick designed and implemented a section of a reference process model based on practical workflows in public health offices, while ensuring compliance with the German Infection Protection Act (IfSG). He will now bring this expertise to his new role. Within EvalDiGe, his work will focus on process digitalization and the development of a prototype for legally compliant reference process modeling – which will also form the foundation of his doctoral project.

In addition, we are pleased to welcome Nick’s broader skills and experiences to the team – from his passion for photography to his entrepreneurial background gained during his studies in Information Systems.
