Nick Fleischer studied Information Systems and, through various term papers written for the research group, initially joined as a student assistant before transitioning to a position as a research associate following the completion of his diploma thesis.

His research interests lie in process aspects of healthcare as well as in the fields of analytics and artificial intelligence. In particular, he aims to investigate how intersectoral and interprofessional care processes can be made more transparent and how access to relevant information—for both patients and healthcare providers—can be facilitated. In this context, he views patient pathways and AI-based solutions as key instruments for achieving this in a structured manner.
