Research at the pulse of time
The chair is dedicated to research on topics relevant to the future. The increasing digitalization of all areas of life offers a wealth of new developments that need to be understood in order to meet global challenges, such as demographic change, climate change, globalization, or rural exodus.
Introduction to our Research Topics
The chair of Business Information System, esp. intelligent systems and services, deals with the design of human-computer interaction in various industrial contexts. Driven by the comprehensive digitalization of our society, all areas of public life and the economy are changing. Digital technologies, such as mobile applications, wearables or chatbots, have become an integral part of everyday life. This omnipresent interaction with software and hardware offers both opportunities and challenges. Good human-machine interaction can motivate users, reduce stress and decrease the overall workload. However, in many areas and for many technologies, it is still unclear what "good" means. Against this background, our main research topic is the effective design of human-computer interactions in different use cases. In total, the chair has three main research areas:
- Future of Work
- Digital Health, esp. Neuro Information Systems
- Intelligent Mobility, esp. Smart City
