Two Presentations at the Internationale Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik 2023 in Paderborn
"Digital Responsibility: Social, Ethical, Ecological Implications of Informations Systems" - This was the motto of this year's Internationale Tagung für Wirtschaftsinformatik, which took place in Paderborn from 18 to 21 September. The Internationale Tagung für Wirtschaftsinformatik is the most important conference for Information Systems research in the German-speaking world. Our PhD student Philipp Scharfe had the opportunity to present two publications in front of a national and international audience.
The first publication entitled: "Antecedents of Non-Ownership Business Model Offerings in the Mechanical Engineering Industry - A Set Theoretic Approach" investigates which configurations of contextual factors lead mechanical engineering companies to offer their machines in so-called non-ownership business models. In such business models, the mechanical engineering companies retain ownership of the machine as machine providers and sell only the machine use and/or performance to their customers.
The second publication entitled: "Influencing Factors for the Adoption of Speech Assistance in Manufacturing" describes 17 technological, organisational and environmental factors that influence whether companies use speech assistance systems in their manufacturing processes. This publication is based on the very good diploma thesis by Philipp Klingner and was published in the student track.
