The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering of TU Dresden and the RWTH Aachen together with partners from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, the Asian Institute of Technology and the Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources at the United Nations University (UNU-FLORES) in Dresden, a “Global Water and Climate Adaptation Center” will be set up over the next five years. This ABCD Center (after the first letters of the 4 participating locations in 3 countries on 2 continents) will deal with climate adaptation measures in the Global South, especially in the water sector.

The Dresden Nexus Conference is an international conference series. It focuses on the discussion of current research and real‐world cases that contribute to the further development of a nexus perspective in dealing with natural resources. Since its inception in 2015, DNC has been a meeting point for academics, UN agencies, decision‐ and policymakers from UN Member States, businesses, and civil society from the local to the global levels. DNC aims to bridge the gap between research and practical implementation through the lively exchange of all participants.

Initiated by a UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden team, the Saxon Dialogue on Biodiversity aims to increase public awareness for biodiversity. The Dialogue features an online public seminar series and a social media campaign (#BiodiversityofSaxony), spotlighting biodiversity to mobilise action.
