Weiße Biotechnologie zur Wasserstoffsynthese "Biogener Wasserstoff"
Kurzbeschreibung (Deutsch)
Die wissenschaftliche Zielstellung des Projektes ist das Bereitstellen neuartiger Bioreaktortechnik für die Kultivierung von Bakterien als Wasserstoffproduzenten sowie dem Ausstrippen und Konditionieren von Wasserstoff als Endprodukt. Dabei wird ein Verfahren angestrebt, bei dem Grünalgen gemeinsam mit Nichtschwefelpurpurbakterien in einem Reaktorsystem kultiviert werden. Die von den Grünalgen in der Dunkelreaktion gebildeten Kohlenhydrat-Äquivalente dienen heterotrophen Nichtschwefelpurpurbakterien als Kohlenstoffquellen. Werden sie unter stickstoffmangel veratmet, entsteht neben Wasserstoff auch Kohlendioxid, das wiederum die Grünalgen im Zuge des Calvinzyklus bindet.
