Local Contribution

As head of BIOTEC's Tissue Engineering Group, I created two technology platforms in our institution: the Histology Facility and the Flow Cytometry Facility, which are now widely used by our colleagues across the campus.

We also contribute by supporting our colleagues with our knowledge and biological tools as well as our laboratory space and equipment. Over the years, we have hosted two guest groups (e.g., Profs Klaus-Peter Günther and Andreas Linkermann) in our BIOTEC Tissue Engineering Laboratories.

We have published more than 60 articles in collaborations with Dresden groups located in various institutions, including Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD), Faculty of Medicine Carl Gustav Carus, Max Bergmann Center of Biomaterials Dresden, and Max Planck Institute of Molecular cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG).

We also participated in organizational meetings and workshops such as the 23rd and 24th annual meetings of the German Society for Cytometry (DGfZ) held in October 2013 and 2014, respectively.
