Bioscience PhD Students (BiPS)
What is BiPS?
Bioscience PhD Students (BiPS) is an independent network for PhD students at the Center for Regenerative Therapies TU Dresden (CRTD) that are not part of the DIGS-BB or other programs.
To foster networking among peers, BiPS PhD students organize regular extracurricular activities helping newcomers to settle in and connect with their peers (see pictures under Events).
We are looking forward to meeting everyone in person soon!
Introduction
The Bioscience PhD Students, or BiPS, form a network of all PhD students who are independently employed at the CRTD.
Moreover, any PhD student from another institute working in a relevant field may join BiPS if they comply to the regulations.
Next to social and scientific interactions, the BiPS network ensures and requires regular TAC meetings. To complete your PhD, you must enroll in a faculty of the TU Dresden, i.e. either medicine or biology:
Please see information reg. the doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine here.

BiPS was initiated by PhD students in 2009 and it is supported by the group leaders and admin at the CRTD. Its aim is to provide support for the PhD students at the CRTD and improve the quality of their research experience. There are currently more than 30 BiPS at the CRTD, some of which you can get to know some in the Students section.
