Electrophysiological methods examine properties of cellular membranes. These properties can be passive, as the permeability of a membrane or its size. An extensive spectrum of investigations research active properties of membranes, cells and cellular networks.

The Electrophysiological cell recording techniques Dresden (EcrtD) - the Electrophysiology Facility of the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) - strives to equip investigators with the necessary instruments and know-how to answer their electrophysiological research questions.
