GeNeMe 2024 - Annual Conference

The 27th annual conference of GeNeMe took place from 25 to 27 September 2024 under the theme ‘Trust in Crisis: Communication Models in Digital Communities’ at the FH Dresden. The conference was organised as a hybrid with a primary focus on presence and optional online participation.

GeNeMe 2023 - Annual Conference

The 26th annual conference of GeNeMe took place from September 13 to 15, 2023 under the theme “Inclusion and participation in the context of digital formats and innovations” at the FH Dresden. The conference was held in a hybrid format, primarily focusing on presence and optional online participation.

GeNeMe 2022 - Annual Conference

The 25th annual conference of GeNeMe took place from 05 to 07 October 2022 with a kick-off event at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) Dresden. The main conference was held as a hybrid event and a colorful mix of presentations and workshops on the topic "Digitality and Diversity - Overcoming Barriers with Digital Transformation" at the premises of Dresden International University (DIU).

GeNeMe 2021 - Annual Conference

The 24th annual conference of GeNeMe took place from 06 to 08 October 2021. The kick-off event on the topic "Digitization of Teaching" met at the location of the Dresden International University (DIU). 

Parallel to the GeNeMe conference, the E&T Summerschool took place in Dresden in a hybrid format. Summer School @TU Dresden

GeNeMe 2020 - Annual Conference

The 23nd annual conference of the GeNeMe took place from October 7 to October 9 with a kick-off event at the HTW Dresden on the topic of Covid and School and as hybrid conference at DGUV and MS Teams.

GeNeMe 2019 - Annual Conference

The 22nd annual conference of the GeNeMe took place from October 9 to October 11 together with the TimeMaschine Conference Dresden in the German Hygiene Museum Dresden.

GeNeMeMe 2018 - Annual Conference

The 21st annual GeNeMe conference took place from 24th to 26th October 2018 at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences.

GeNeMe 2017 - ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE

The 20th GeNeMe was organised as an anniversary conference in 2017. With an opening event in the Stadtmusuem Dresden current topics were discussed together with representatives and administration, economy and science in an open Stand-Up World Café. Afterwards the conference took place with large discussion rounds from 19th to 20th October in the Kugelhaus at the main station Dresden.

GeNeMe 2016 - IFKAD 2016

The 19th GeNeMe 2016 was organized as a sub-conference of the 12th IFKAD (International Forum on Knowledge Asset Dynamics) on 15th to 18th June 2016 at the TU Dresden - BZW and SLUB.

GeNeMe 2015 - communities of knowledge 2015

The combined conference of GeNeMe and ProWM was held on 25th and 26th June 2015 at the Georg Schumann Bau of the TU Dresden.

GeNeMe 2014

The 17th GeNeMe Conference took place from 01st and 2nd October 2014 at the Faculty of Computer Science of the TU Dresden with the focus on Online Communities: Enterprise Networks, Open Education and Global Communication.

GeNeMe 2013 

The 16th GeNeMe Conference was held under the theme Online Communities: Enterprise Networks, Open Education and Global Communication from
07th and 08th October 2013 in the Gerber Bau of the TU Dresden.

GeNeMe 2012 

The 15th GeNeMe Conference took place on 04th and 05th October 2012 at the Gerber Bau of the TU Dresden and was dedicated to the topic Communities in New Media:
Virtual Enterprises, Research Communities & Social Media Networks.
