CODIP Welcomes Prof. Dedi Rohendi to Expand Institutional Collaboration with UPI
CODIP welcomed guests Prof. Dedi and Muhammad Oka Ramadhan for networking and visiting research facilities
The Center for Open Digital Innovation and Participation (CODIP), TU Dresden, recently welcomed Prof. Dr. Dedi Rohendi from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) for a nine-day academic visit from 3-11 December 2025 under the Promoter Strengthening Program (PKP–PMDSU) funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
Prof. Rohendi is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Education (FPTI UPI) and a faculty member in the Postgraduate Program of Technical and Vocational Education at UPI, with expertise in engineering mathematics, engineering pedagogy, digital learning innovation and instructional technology integration in TVET.
The visit featured a wide range of academic and strategic activities. In addition to the supervision agenda, Prof. Rohendi actively expanded academic networks through meetings and discussions with experts at CODIP.

The visit also included benchmarking of CODIP’s research facilities, digital learning laboratories, and academic support ecosystem, providing valuable insights into research infrastructure and collaborative innovation at TU Dresden.
This visit also marked an important milestone in strengthening institutional collaboration between the two universities. Together with the Director of CODIP, Prof. Dr. Thomas Köhler, two key cooperation documents were formally signed:
- a Memorandum of Agreement between the Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education (FPTI), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and TU Dresden Faculty of Education / TUD FaCE, and
- an Implementation Agreement between the School of Postgraduate Studies, UPI and the Faculty of Education, TU Dresden.
These agreements reflect the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthen cooperation in doctoral supervision, academic mobility, capacity building, joint research, and international publication.
