With VR glasses and green screen into the classroom of the future: The LNDW 2022
3, 2, 1... Science! The Long Night of Science took place in Dresden on 08.07.2022. Dresden's universities, research institutions and science-related companies open their doors to the public once a year and CODIP was there again.
A mini-lab was set up in room 208 in the HSC, where interested visitors could gain an impression of the classroom or seminar room of the future. In front of the green screen, visitors could present themselves in front of a weather map or in the news studio to experience how educational videos for school lessons are created. VR glasses were also used to view a 360-degree flat, which is used in the Domicile-VR project to specifically train flat inspections at vocational schools. In the "TV tutorial", there was an insight into the online further training of the UndiMeS project, in which the media competence of Saxon teachers is strengthened. The mini-lab was based on the TET labs at the CODIP, in which (future) digital usage scenarios are tested in the area of lesson design and teaching.
The interactive offer attracted mainly families with children, but also many current and prospective teachers for whom the digitalisation of teaching is an omnipresent topic. With over 100 visitors, the event was very well attended - we thank everyone who stopped by and look forward to LNDW 2023!
